The Mammut Ultimate VIII SO is a hardshell jacket with a polyamide shell and waterproof/water-repellent coating treatment, a common application for legacy PFAS-based Teflon-family coating in outdoor gear. Mammut has not publicly disclosed what water-repellent coating chemistry is used or made PFAS-free commitments.
