Farmers Fiber bowls are molded from plant fiber, a lower-risk base material. However, the water- and grease-resistant coating that makes compostable bowls practical is often PFAS-treated; Huhtamaki has not disclosed whether this product uses fluorinated or PFAS-free alternatives.
